As summer approaches and spring cleaning is well under way, what better time than now to prepare a space for your incoming guests. A guest room can leave a lasting impression and display a sense of hospitality.  When designing a room for family and friends, the intent is to make a guest feel right at home.

When discovering color in a home, hues of blue can be counted on as one of the most versatile and classic. "There is a classic crispness to blue and white, and woven natural materials counterbalance that crispness with rustic texture" (Mark D. Sikes). Incorporating different patterns and textures of blue textiles in a room will give the the space dimension and interest.

 

What makes a house beautiful? Powder and master baths may not be the first area to come to mind. However, it can be one of the most memorable spaces in a home because of its private luxury. From oversized spa-like rooms to vibrant dainty quarters, they can truly be one of a kind.
